Born in Karachi, Bilquis Dawood completed her education from Home Economics, in Karachi. She is on the Board of Descon Technical Institute (DTI) and Bilquis and Abdul Razak Dawood (BARD) Foundation. She also has investments in various Descon Companies. A strong proponent of women education and women empowerment. Mrs. Dawood is a very active philanthropist and regular supporter of LABARD, Aziz Jahan Begum Trust, Sahara for Life, Akhauwat Foundation, and many others.
